Morrie Luft is a trial lawyer who has secured hundreds of acquittals and withdrawals for his clients. He has successfully represented clients accused of some of the most serious offences in the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He has also represented accused in several high profile cases and has been lead counsel for clients charged in some of the largest prosecutions in Toronto over the last decade. This includes mega-prosecutions like Project Flicker and Project Corral.

Mr. Luft will take on any type of case and often defends cases that involve close examination of the conduct of police officers. He has secured numerous acquittals after evidence was excluded from trial because of police conduct that violated his clients’  rights as protected by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.  In other cases, he has successfully argued that charges against his clients should be stayed because of entrapment, lost evidence and because of a failure for his client to have a trial within a reasonable amount of time.  In each of those cases, he successfully relied on the Charter of Rights and Freedoms to protect his clients from unfair prosecution.

Mr. Luft has built his reputation through hard work and by diligently defending all cases that come across his desk. Mr. Luft works tirelessly to ensure his clients receive the best possible result and that the rights of his clients are protected at every step. He prides himself on providing a superior level of customer service, at an affordable price, and for making himself available to his clients 24/7.
